The Advisory Board / Volunteer Members for Michigan Recruiters is responsible for setting the overall strategy and direction for the community, in addition to setting content and agendas for our events and conferences.
President & Community Leader
With 22 years of human resources and talent acquisition leadership experience, Jason Buss is a recognized expert with deep experience in identifying, recruiting and hiring high-performing teams. He is currently the vice president of talent acquisition for MongoDB.
Jason has authored and published content in, and has been quoted by The Huffington Post, Fast Company, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, Society for Human Resource Management, Corporate Executive Board and more.
He is the founder of the Recruiters Network and serves as the president and community leader for several of the nation’s largest and most active regional recruiting communities including Minnesota Recruiters, California Recruiters, Denver Recruiters, Florida Recruiters, Wisconsin Recruiters, and Oregon Recruiters.

Charlie brings nearly 20 years of Talent Acquisition experience to his role as Director of Talent Acquisition at Holiday Retirement. Charlie retains the passion for continuously learning the art of Recruiting as if it were still his first year. He currently applies his experience and leadership skills in a challenging industry where the talent shortage problem spans all functions and positions. Prior to working at Holiday Retirement, he lived in Seattle working for Premera Blue Cross in the Healthcare space. His Talent Acquisition leadership also includes the Footwear and Apparel space at Nike. Charlie’s experience also spans technology, medical devices and telecom.
Charlie is an outdoors enthusiast. With two young daughters, his family enjoys a RV lifestyle which allows them to get out together to appreciate nature. Charlie is also a soccer dad and when he isn’t on the sideline supporting his daughters in their athletic pursuits, he can be found at the MLS Champion Portland Timbers games as an avid supporter and season ticket holder. Charlie likes to mimic his favorite soccer players, albeit at the much slower and less skillful pace of an age appropriate men’s soccer league.

When Dominic is not leading a team of dedicated professional recruiters in the office, you’ll find him with his family or perhaps throwing a dry fly to a rising native trout on a local river. Ideally, he would be doing both at the same time! A huge fan of Peter Drucker, he chooses to live by the motto: “The best way to predict the future is to create it”.
With 20+ years of recruiting leadership experience in both corporate HR (Starbucks, Umpqua Bank, and David Evans and Associates) and recruiting firms, Dominic is a recognized expert in building dynamic recruiting teams to meet the human capital needs of his clients. He is currently the President of Flux Resources LLC– a leading technical recruiting firm based in Portland, OR – and a current member of American Staffing Association’s Engineering, IT and Scientific Advisory Board.
